First of all, all the best in the year 2014! :)
Gosh, time just flies! It's been already almost 3 months since my last post. Plenty of things have happened during this time: new job, many guests, visit to Finland, Christmas in Poland, etc. Of course I've cooked and taken pictures, but I haven't had time to post any recipes. Now everything levels off and I hope this year I will have more time for my blog.
Today I present you a recipe for minced meat loaf. I came up with the idea when making chops. Generally, a lot depends on a cook. I usually go through all the stuff in my fridge, when making this dish. The recipe I give is for an exemplary combination, and I really encourage you to try your own ideas out.
INGREDIENTS:
Basic ones:
500 g minced meat
1 roll (preferably kaiser roll)
1 big egg
middle-size onion
spices: salt, black pepper, herbal pepper mix, chili
crumbs
Additional ones:
Pepper (entire one or pieces of few in different colors)
3-4 champignons
50 g cheese
(* great ingredients are also: couple of dried tomatoes [here in the picture, I've added them], a few spoons of canned corn, cucumber, etc.)
METHOD:
1) Put a roll into a pot, pour it with water mixed with milk or just water, and leave until it's soaked and softened.
2) Dice the onion and fry it on a frying pan with oil until the onion turns golden.
3) Dice all the additional ingredients.
4)
Into a bowl put: minced meat, drained roll, onion, additional ingredients; break an egg and season. Mix with hands.
5) Butter an oblong baking form and dredge it with crumbs. Put the mixture into the form and also dredge it with crumbs.
6) Bake for about 30-40 minutes in 180°C.
7) Serve with potatoes and salad or as addition for sandwiches.
